Mikey Schultz, a former hitman who confessed to the killing of mining magnate Brett Kebble in 2005, sat in the front row of the Pretoria courtroom, next to the Pistorius family as afternoon proceedings began, having been sitting behind the family of Reeva Steenkamp in the morning.
Schultz was accompanied by his friend, Marc Batchelor, a former South African football star who has alleged that Pistorius had threatened to "break his legs" over an ex-girlfriend.
